I recently read The Power of Now and it had such a deep impact on me that I want to share what I learned and how I'm actually implementing it in my life!

Life is a constant state of "not there yet" so we may as well enjoy the NOW. The "not there yet" is where the magic happens. When you see what you have and who you are NOW as more than enough and are able to cherish the NOW as much as you cherish the THERE, you become magnetic and your desires come easily.⁠ This is exactly what I'm diving deeper into in today's episode.

Hi, and welcome back or welcome, if you're new here to the magnetically you podcast. I'm your host Madison. I am so happy to have you here. today. I hope you're having a beautiful, magical wonderful day. And if you're not, this episode is going to help you do that. So don't worry, before we dive into today's episode, which is all about what to do if you feel anxious, because you're not there yet. If you are not, if you don't have the result in your life that you want, if you ever reach your goals, if you haven't done X, Y or Z and it's making you feel anxious because you feel like you should be farther along by now, then this episode for you that's we're gonna be diving into but before we do that, I wanna let you guys know that I am hosting a free three day energy makeover November 18 through the 20th. I was sleeping only like two hours a night I had chronic back pain and I was anxious. 24 seven I think I already said that. But it literally, I could repeat it because I was anxious literally all the time. And at that point in my life, I just felt so stuck and like, I'm like, What the fuck is life like? What even is this like, nothing in my life was going the way I wanted, they didn't even know exactly what I wanted. But I knew deep down there was more out there for me and that it was time to make changes. And I honestly just wanted to feel better and to and enjoy my life and to feel fulfilled and to feel purposeful. And I can imagine you probably listen to this podcast because that's what you want to and really when everything started changing for me was when I made feeling good and really tapping into the power of my thoughts and energy and intuition my number one priority. Everything literally everything in my life started aligning. So long story short, my anxiety my chronic back pain, my sleep issues, my eczema completely disappeared. I started my own business started making thousands of dollars a month doing what I love my relationship with my boyfriend at the time now fiance went to a completely new level and grew so much I completely healed all of my disordered eating issues with food I manifested traveling the world, my soulmate friends being featured in magazines like Reader's Digest and just so much more. And all because I decided to let go of all of the rules about how things should be and what I was supposed to do and kind of just stopped playing by everyone else's rules and ask myself like, what do I want what feels good for me and sort of letting feeling good be my number one priority and really started tapping into the power of my thoughts in my energy. And literally everything in my life transformed because I first transferred formed on the inside. And then my external reality literally just became a natural reflection of what was going on, on the inside. And I want you to know that like changing your life in this way, getting to this place where you feel like happier, more fulfilled than you ever have before. And you know that it only gets better and better and better. It doesn't have to be the heart, it doesn't have to take forever, and you can serve into it now. And I want to help you do that. With that being said, let's go ahead and dive into today's episode, I'm really excited for this one, it's going to be quickie fasti I don't even think that's a word. Anyways, so I recently read the Power of Now by Eckhart totally, or, I don't even know how to say his name, whatever. And it was so good. So, so good. And I, since then, and since really implementing what he teaches and tapping into what he teaches, feel more present than I ever have. And this presence, like it just feels so good. And it's like that present energy allows you to surrender and it like opens, opens a door for everything he wants to come to you rather than you having to like, push and force and struggle to go get it and and allows you to have just complete and total like peace of mind and happiness with what is. Um, so I'm really excited to kind of like share my biggest takeaways with you and something really cool happened. So I this I read this right before I went to California to get certified in NLP. And I went there and there is trying to think of the easiest way to describe this without going into too much detail. So basically, there's people who, when you imagine your timeline of life, you close your eyes and imagine like, Where is your past and where is your future? For everyone it's in some people are forward back, some people side to side, some people diagonal, whatever it is, um, mine was always like right to left or right was the future love towards the past. And my timeline was kind of like outside of me, which usually when people's like timeline they see and just don't worry about too much about the timeline. This is in regards to a technique called time techniques that I do with my one on one clients to eliminate negative emotions and limiting beliefs. But you don't need to know what it is in order to understand this example. So anyways, there's the time. And if it's outside of you, that typically means that you're a I think it's through time person. And through time people have a more typically like strained and stressful relationship with time. And then there's in time people whose timeline goes like through their body. And so before I went to an LP, and had read that book, my timeline was outside of me right to left. So through time, meaning my like, typically people who are through time just have a more rocky relationship with time. And when I went there, and she asked us to close her eyes and imagine our timeline descend, my timeline was front to back going through my body. And I was like, That's weird. And that means like you're an in time person, which means you just experience time more and then now you're more in than now you have a much more just like chill flowy Easy present relationship with time. And I was like, Oh my gosh, like, that's literally evidence of me doing this work and focusing on really being more present just I don't know, I thought it was a really cool example that showed that anyways, hopefully that makes sense. If it didn't just forget it, it's not that important. But anyways, okay, on to the main point is that your point of power, where you create your life from the place where you create your life from is in the present. And everything in the present is perfect. It's only not enough in the present, when we compare it to somewhere else that we think we're supposed to be. And, you know, there is no where we're supposed to be there is nowhere to get there is no such thing as arriving.

And that was something to tell you, Benson said, when she was on the podcast, that there's no such thing as arriving, I was like, wow, like that is so profound, it's true. We always think when I get there, when I quit my job, it's gonna be great, I'll be happy when I lose weight, I'll be great and happy when I win this external circumstance change, then I will get to feel how I want on the inside. And then I will think the thoughts that I want to think and feel like, there's no such thing as getting there. And the thoughts and feelings we think we're going to have when we get there are available to us now. And there's no such thing as arriving or getting there. Like the only thing we have, we have is here. And when we do, quote, arrive or get there, we're not actually there, we're here we're in the present, because that's literally all that it says there's no such thing as the past or the future. It's not even real. It's literally only thoughts that give the past in the future meaning and, like reality, but really, they're not even real. Um, and, yeah, like so it's as cliched it cliche as it is. It's like enjoy the journey, because there's no such thing as there. And it's really easy to fantasize about getting there, right? Like, oh, once I get there, there'll be this magical fairytale place, everything we perfect, will be happy and have everything I want. But like this just perpetuates this illusion of this, of getting there of this place. That will never be because if it's always there, and we're always here, then we're never there. And it's a never ending not there yet. Hopefully I'm making sense. So let me see if I have homework time. I'm getting there. Like all these external achievements and outside things. You think where you think you're supposed to be you should be farther along, you're anxious because you believe things should be different. Like No, they shouldn't be different. They're exactly as they're meant to be in this moment outside wouldn't fucking be that way. And when we're always trying to be somewhere else, and believing things should be different, and we should be somewhere else. And we should be farther along. It feels like ship because we're creating this illusion of this place that we're never going to get. Because if it's always there, and we're always here, then we're never there. And we're always not there yet. And we're in this constant chase of never there yet. never good enough. And it feels terrible. And it's this never ending. Yeah, we're not there yet. And so we may as well learn how to enjoy the quote, not there yet. If we never really arrive. And it's this constant Chase and life is a constant, quote, not there yet, then why don't we just enjoy? They're not there yet. Right? Why don't we just enjoy where we are? Why don't you just enjoy now. And so I my friend, Jacqueline, she was telling me the other day that share this metaphor, which I think is so amazing, and really just so helpful to get present to really put enjoying the journey into practice. Like we all say, like, oh, enjoying the journey, but it's like, are we actually practicing on honestly, most of us are not. And it's something that I'm still working on and something I'm still growing into. But the more I grow into it, the more I really focus on how can I enjoy what is how can I make the best of what is the more I am happy and the more life starts working for me rather than feeling like it's happening to me. So anyways, the metaphor is that, you know, like, say you have somewhere you want to get a goal you want to reach or something you'd like to achieve, or you think something in your life should be different and you're just ready to get there. Like you just wish you could happen tomorrow. And it's like, that's like going, you know, to raft down the river. And you go to the beginning of the river and you have your flow and you're about to get in the river. And it looks like it's like this beautiful, sunny, magical River. It's going to be so fun. You're going to float down with all your friends. You're going to be outside the sunshine, the waters beautiful, it's going to be amazing. And then you say you know what, actually, I think I'd rather just like get it back in the car and just zip to the end get to the end of the river. It's like no, like the rafting down is the best part, the being in it, the not there yet is the best part. That's where the magic happens. That's where you grow. That's where you get to choose to be happy. That's where you get to think that thoughts and feel the feelings that you want to have. When you think you get there, you get to have those now, because nothing happens there or in the future. In the past, it all happens here. And now. So what if you could make now the best moment ever? Like how can you enjoy this moment? Right now? and ask yourself like, how can I accept? What is how can I enjoy these circumstances? How can I make the best of it? And just let yourself be here like let go of all those fake stories and identities?

And what if this? What if that? Or Oh, I should have changed this in the past? What if you could just drop all those fake stories and identities you've created for yourself and come back to your the true essence of who you are in this moment, which is absolutely perfect. Like in this moment, your life is exactly as it's meant to be. Or it wouldn't be that way. So asking yourself these questions can be so powerful to help you step into this place of like, how can I accept it as How can I enjoy these circumstances? And if you're struggling with something or thinking about the past or thinking about the future and feeling anxious, because you're not there yet, ask yourself, can I let this go? Am I willing to let this go? When will I let this go? And it's like, yeah, most of us are like, Yes, I will let this go, I am willing to let this go. Let's let this go now. And it's crazy how fast I can bring you back into the present how fast I can allow you to let go of all of these, like ideas and anxieties about where you should be or how things should be different. So I want to just, like show you how easy it is to become more present. So I want you to just close your eyes. Obviously, if you're driving, save this for later. But if you're sitting so just close your eyes, I want you to just choose now choose and decide now to let go of the past to let go the future and to let go of the what ifs the shoulds, as opposed to is where you think you're supposed to be. See if you can let all of that go and come into the perfection of the present moment. And whatever thought comes in, just let it pass through you as if you're transparent. Just let it come in and just as easily. Let it go out. And just bringing your mess and attention to your breath. breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. And through your nose. I know through your mouth, just feeling yourself coming into your body. There's nowhere else you need to go nowhere else you need to be nothing you need to think about nothing you need to do. You're exactly where you're meant to be. And I want you to just bring your awareness to your body. just noticing checking in with your toes, your ankles, your shins and your calves, your knees, your thighs, your hips, your stomach, your back, your shoulders, all the way down your arms into your fingertips, up your neck, into your head and to the top of your head. And just be in your body. Be in the essence of who you really are. Be in the essence of the presence. Feel what it feels like to be here now. Feel what it feels like to know that there's nowhere else you need to be or should be right now that you're exactly where you're meant to be. Everything is exactly as it's meant to be. And everything is working perfectly feel those feelings. Now go ahead and turn that up time set by a million. Feel yourself so grounded, so connected into your body. And so in the present moment, turn that feeling of now let it take you over, let it release anything and everything that's coming into your awareness. Just let that go. Now. Take one more big deep breath in. And exhale, let it go. Just coming back to the room when you're ready. Also it's 224 which was the time I was born. I feel like that's a sign that I think just through listening to the meditation you are reborn You are a new person you are present. You're in a new entity. And that God just came through me like I had no idea I was gonna do take you guys through meditation today but because I'm present and really here and not trying to be anywhere else it's like that was able to come through me so I hope that made you feel amazing. And that's something you can come back to it anytime that feeling you felt when you were doing that that is your natural state that is present and that is a feeling and an energy that you can return to and tap into at any moment.
