Hi, and welcome back to the magnetically your podcast. I'm your host Madison, in case you're on here, nice to meet you. Happy to have you and welcome. For those of you who have been hanging around here before I thank you for being here. I'm so grateful for you guys. And y'all, we're just gonna go ahead and get right into today's episode where are not going to beat around the bush, I know, if you have any, if you're celebrating any holidays coming up, then you've probably got shit that you would like to go to. So we're gonna make this quick, we're gonna get you feeling good, we're gonna get your energy all protected, and you will be on your merry way. No pun intended for Christmas. Okay, anyways, so today, I'm going to be talking to you guys about 11 ways to protect your energy from holiday stress. And then at the end, we're going to end with a, what I'm going to call energy protection meditation to really just kind of like, clear out any, like stuck energy that's in your body, any stuck stress, and then kind of like put a protective bubble around your energy so that you can like maintain this. Yeah, feeling good. energy. So let's go ahead and get into it. So number one, is to choose how you're reacting to your circumstances. So it's not our circumstances. I've said this so many times on the podcast, but I will say it again and again. And again. It's not our circumstances that cause us to feel negatively. It's our thoughts and feelings about the circumstances. And we can choose new thoughts and new feelings about the circumstances. Okay. And so what I want you to do is, make it your main intention, this holiday season to focus on and look for only what makes you feel good. Just Just look for it, we have this part of our brain called the reticular activating system. And basically, if we're, you know, telling ourselves like, how can I look for only the good, our brains are literally designed to go answer that question. And then our reticular activating system is basically designed to seek out and search for all the things that can make you feel good. It's like if you buy if you've ever, like bought a new car, and you thought, oh, like nobody really had this car before, and then you buy the car, and then you see the car everywhere. That's your reticular activating system, because it's now you've brought it into your awareness, the car, the brand, and now you're seeing it everywhere. So bring the intent to look for what feels good into your awareness and your reticular activating system will go to work finding all the things around you that you can feel good about. So a lot of times, we like to think like, you know, whoever it is, is stressing me out or they make me they made me so mad. And it's like, no, no one can make you anything, right like you're nuts, essentially choosing to react in that way. So I would ask yourself, like, what about what they're doing is causing you to choose to feel or react this way? and ask yourself like, how would the most loving version of me responds, how can I respond with love and compassion? And so if it's whatever, whether it's like, certain situations or circumstances or even people like, see if you can choose different thoughts about those circumstances and about the people and notice how things seem to shift just by you doing that. So, yeah, choose different thoughts about the circumstances and people and send to the people that are driving you crazy, like loving energy loving thoughts, and instead of trying to change the people in the world, or change your circumstances, necessarily, I'm not saying you've can't and shouldn't change your circumstances. But like, in the moment, you either it's like, if you can't, if there, if it feels like there's no way to change the circumstance, then it's your job to work on accepting the circumstance, right and making the best of it. And to some extent, like you are choosing whatever, whatever the situation is, so instead of trying to change the people in your world, work on changing your thoughts and feelings about those people, and about the circumstances, and this doesn't mean to like, ignore your feelings and be like, Oh, I'm not allowed to feel how I want to feel it's like, No, you are, honor your feelings, and remember that you're choosing them. And that's okay. Because when you're when you take ownership over how you feel, you get your power back and just start noticing, by doing this by asking yourself, how can I respond with love asking, thinking different thoughts about your circumstances and about the people around you sending them loving energy, and thoughts, rather than working on changing what they're doing or what the circumstances were changing your thoughts and feelings about it. And just notice how, how the situations how the interaction starts shifting, just from you doing this. So the moral of the story is, don't try to change others, right? Because when you're blaming something outside of you, for how you feel, you have no power, because you can always control the things outside of you, where you can focus on and what will empower you and give you your power back is focusing on you. So focus on what can I do to make the best of us? How can I react in a way that would allow me to feel how I want to feel? And even asking yourself, how do I want to feel and the situation, what would allow me to feel that way. And this situation, really just looking at situations and people with a new lens. And I got a really powerful reminder of this. Yesterday, so I started a new role at my corporate job. And it is a lot more intense will say, then the role I was previously in and yesterday I was just felt like I had like five meltdowns, I was in total victim mode, like, Oh my god, I have no time to work on my business. And I'm like, I need to, like, leave this job. But I don't want to leave this job because they're paying me really well. And it's really not that bad. And like just having all these like, super unhelpful thoughts and feelings about it and feeling really, really anxious and overwhelmed. And when I was working on my job, corporate job, I felt like, Oh my gosh, like, there's something I should be doing for my business, or there's not gonna be enough time for my business, or I'm gonna run out of energy. And I'm gonna have nothing left for my business. And we have nothing left to give to Trevor in this job is taking everything away from me, literally. That's how I felt. And so I honored that I love myself half my meltdown for a few hours, and it was not fun. But I allowed it because I could tell like I needed to just let myself feel the feelings. let myself be a victim for a minute. And that's okay. And I was aware the whole time that I am choosing this, I understand this and I'm not ready to choose something else. So I'm going to continue spiraling until I feel ready. So let myself have all my drama. And then as I was able to take a break from working, I went on a walk and I was like asking myself like, and just reminding myself of this because obviously this is what I teach. And this is what I practice and live in my life is like I was noticing how I was blaming my circumstances for how I was feeling which was causing me to really be stay in this victim mentality and feeling like a victim because if everything outside of me was a problem, then like, well, I'm just a victim and I can't do anything about it. Like for me, you know. But when you take ownership for the thoughts and feelings, you're choosing about the situation, then you get your power back and you no longer get to be a victim. So I started asking myself, like, what's the next best feeling thought? I can think about this situation? What? What can I choose to feel good about in this situation? how might this be happening? For me, and I started thinking, well, this is going to force me to be a lot more intentional. And my business, if I'm spending less time on my business, which I already wasn't spending a ton of time. Anyways, because I know, it's like, the more hours doesn't equal more success. And by working less, I've actually had a lot more success in my business.

But anyway, so I was like, well, it's gonna get, it's gonna force me to be more intentional about the time I am spending in my business, and it's going to allow me to learn the lesson. That what if, what if like, filling up my cup is infinite, right? Like, what if I can always fill it back up my cup. So I was feeling like, if I work on my corporate job all day, then by the end of the day, I won't even be able to work on my business, because I have no energy left, and they will have taken all my good energy. Literally, this is what I was thinking. And I was like, my friends called me out. And she was like, Well, what if filling up your cup is infinite? What if you can always fill it back? up? What if you have an infinite source of an intentional like, energy to bring to the things that you care about? And what if you stopped calling your corporate job, your corporate job? And what if it was just like marketing consulting, which it is like if someone if I wasn't working my corporate job right now, and someone came along and said, Hey, Madison, like, we'll give you lots of money to be our marketing consultant, because we want your expertise. So be like, oh, okay, sign me up. So like, obviously, I'm choosing it, right, like there. So it's like, if I'm the one choosing this, I have to own that. And I have to accept that. So how can I make the best of it? How can I choose new thoughts about this? How can I choose New feelings about this, and on the walk, I was searching for all this new thoughts and feelings about it. And by the end of the walk, I felt like a completely different person, because I chose to take back my power to take ownership of the choices. I was making a to take ownership of the thoughts and feelings I was having about about it. And I felt so much better. Just a few hours later. from doing this, I actually think I want to record a separate episode on Yeah, like, for those of you who have businesses, I know it can sometimes feel really hard to balance it with another job. So maybe another episode will come on that. But that's not what this episode is about. I got carried away. I just want to remind you guys that like, yeah, no one's perfect. Like, we all have our most meltdowns. Feel your feelings and then own what you're choosing and choose new thoughts and new feelings and notice how notice how things shift. Okay, so that's number one. Number two, is to stop telling the story that the holidays are stressful, like, according to who who made that up, right? Like, I feel like there's just like unspoken, like, Well, no, it's actually the opposite of unspoken. It's highly spoken. Like, I don't know, like story that everyone's telling, like, Oh my god, the holidays are so stressful. And like, everyone's always like talking about their mother in law. Just like, all the stress, like, we have to do this and do that. And it's so busy. Oh, it's so busy, so many things to go to like law. And it's like, is that story helping any of us? And like, Is it this? Is it because that's really this situation? And then we're telling the story that is stressful? Or is it? Or are we telling the story that it's stressful? And then that's becomes the situation? Hopefully that makes sense. So just stop, drop that. Sorry, throw that in the trash. Like, the holidays are stressful. Like, no, we don't that's not helpful for anyone, whether it's true or not, like, is that really helping you? It's like, Oh, I'm so busy. It's such a it's such a stressful time of the year like, does it have to be No, okay, so tell a new story. What's your new story? what it what is? How would you like it to go? How would you like to feel this holiday season? What would you like to experience and how can you focus on that? How can you tell a story about that? Because everything we think is literally just a story. So if the story you're telling is making you feel like shit, tell a new story. Tell a new story. Wow, there's so much beauty in the holidays, there's so much giving, there's so I'm so grateful that I have so many things to do. Because I have so many people who love me, the holidays are like, are the best time to, I get to spend a lot of time with my family, like, I don't know, whatever, whatever helps you feel better, like, see if you can just start telling a new story and drop that bs story. Now the holidays are stressful, because it's not true, and it's probably not serving you. Okay, number three is to imagine yourself in a bubble, or imagine yourself as like transparent. So for the bubble, you can imagine as pink, gold, white, blue, whatever color makes you feel good. And just literally, whenever you're kind of like feeling like someone else's energy is like getting all up in your bubble, or there's something going on around you, that's just like not feeling good. There's some maybe some stressful energy going on around you like, Just close your eyes. Imagine yourself in a bubble. Imagine literally putting this like pink, bubble pink or whatever color you want around your body. And just like wrapping yourself in the awareness of like, no, nothing but love can come into this bubble and nothing but love can go out of the bubble. And I'm in this bubble, and I am protected. That's what it is. And it sounds kind of silly, but honestly, it really, really works. And then same thing with this one, it's kind of similar. You can imagine yourself as transparent. So when, you know maybe people start talking about politics, the dinner table when you really go goodness gracious is not the conversation I want to be having at least that's how I feel. So you could imagine yourself as transparent, like, whatever someone is saying, or maybe they're making comments about what you're eating on our maybe they're making comments about, like, why aren't you married? Or why don't you have kids yet, or you know, the shit that family asks you or whatever it is just imagine yourself as transparent and imagine yourself as it it just flows right through you, it just passes right through, it doesn't stay stuck with you, it just moves right on through. So the next two are also kind of like little like quick energy tricks. The next one is to take a shower. And as the water is washing over, you just imagine it like washing off any stock negative energy, any thoughts that aren't serving you any feelings that aren't serving you a situation that may have happened, a situation that's coming up just like imagine it washing off and go and watch it go down the drain. And then number five is cord cutting which is we're going to do this in the meditation. So if you don't know what it is, don't worry about it yet but basically you kind of imagine yourself and someone else who you feel like you need to kind of refresh the energy with you imagine that you guys are connected by a cord and you will close your eyes and imagine yourself cutting this cord and then you kind of imagine them just floating away and it kind of it's just like a internal way of really signaling to yourself into your subconscious mind that like I'm cutting off this current flow of energy the way it is now I'm refreshing this energy. I'm releasing and releasing this person and this energy from the past. Okay, so number six is essential oils I am obsessed with Young Living I love everything they have them on their like monthly rewards program so I order new oils every month and I love it so much I have I also get their like laundry detergent and they have this like cleaning spray called thieves and it smells heavenly. And I use it to like clean my countertops clean the bathroom clean the toilets like it's literally a universal like cleaning agents. So anyways, I love all their stuff, but for this purpose for protecting your energy. Lavender is really good. peppermints really good Young Living has a few blends that I really like called stress away valor and grounding. I love to blend dressing and grounding or valor and grounding. They just smell like amazing. I like rub it on my wrist, my spine, behind my neck under my feet like wherever I'm feeling those are places where it absorbs and it's just like it's just like a way to like almost like trigger your brain into relaxing and there's a lot of science behind this specific like chemicals in the oil and how they I don't know if chemicals is the right word because they're all natural. It's not like sketchy but the compounds the compounds in the oil Really, really create relaxation. So yeah, I'll link Young Living in the show notes in case you guys want it. And it's my like, I don't know what you call it, like affiliate links, if you guys buy it like I will get money. So just putting that out there like I don't want and like that to influence whether you get it and I just want to be super transparent with you guys been a bit obsessed with them. I used it every month. And yeah, I'll link in the show notes in case that's something you would like to get yourself. Especially if you celebrate Christmas, it's a great Christmas present to get yourself or someone else. Okay, number seven is to honor your body. So I know there's a lot of this feels like a lot more like eating scenarios over the holidays. If you celebrate Thanksgiving, a lot of times, it's like a really big meal, elaborate meal, all these five families it is or there's parties and gatherings and there's kind of like food and alcohol, kind of like everywhere you look over the holidays, right. And so I'll keep this short and sweet because I I mean, I used to coach women on healing their relationship with food, especially through my program to sell our food freedom. So if this if that's something you want help with, and you're tired of thinking and worrying about food all the time, and you really just want to be able to eat a balanced way without all the guilt and anxiety and worry and all the stress, then go get the subtle art of food freedom that will absolutely change your life not just with your relationship with food, but then everything from there like snowballs in a positive direction. But anyways, for our purposes today, I'm going to keep it short and sweet. So by honor your body, I just mean like, honor what feels right for you, like don't let other people's comments influence what you're eating or not eating or moving or exercising or not exercising, like, you know, if someone's like, oh, like you're getting seconds, just be like, yeah, my body wants them. Like it's fine. And obviously, it's easier said than done if you are really struggling with food. But you know, most of the time I meet people, other people make comments about our food and our bodies because of their own insecurities, their own projection. So just remember that and send them love and compassion for those for their insecurities and thoughts and feelings about themselves that are causing them to, to choose to say something that might be hurtful to you imagine yourself as transparent imagine yourself is in a bubble and ask yourself like, what would feel really good for me. And just just honor what feels good for you. You can trust your body, it will tell you what you need to eat, when you need to eat, how much you need to eat, when to exercise, when to move, how much to move, like your body will tell you. So do your best to drown out whatever else is doing whatever else is saying. What are all the other comments what you should do what you shouldn't do and just be like, how can I honor my body? What would feel best? For me? What would I enjoy? And that might be like, Oh, I want like a few brownies? great honor that. The next day, it might be like you want a big leftover turkey sandwich. great honor that it might be that you want to go on a walk, great honor that like whatever it is just ask yourself, like, what do I really want right now. And what will feel really good for me and just follow that. Hey, girl, we'll get back to the show in just a sec. But I wanted to tell you about a special opportunity real quick. Okay, number eight is to create a morning practice for the holidays, even if it's not your normal routine, because a lot of us are traveling over the holidays. So it might like shake up your normal routine, but come up with something that you can commit yourself to in the morning while you're wherever you are over the holidays because when you wake up you It's such a powerful time to tip your thoughts and feelings in the direction of feeling good because you've just been asleep for hopefully, like eight hours and been completely disconnected from any negative thoughts or feelings like it's a sleeping is amazing. Like it's a complete and total refresh of our energy. Like we completely disconnect from our thoughts. And like when you wake up, it's like it's almost like this new blank slate like what do I want to create today? What own thing today? How do I want to feel today and literally wake up and use that powerful time to? Yes, set the tone for the day to choose how you're going to feel to choose the thoughts you're going to be thinking that day. So like yeah, literally when you wake up be like first thing like there's something I wanted to add here that I didn't plan on saying but what is Katherine's and kina for manifestation babe, she says like, something along the lines of like, because I woke up today, I have a purpose here. And I am like so grateful to be alive. Because if you're waking up, if you woke up, you open your eyes after sleeping, that means you still have a purpose here. So that can be the first life that feels good for you. You can immediately wake up and think Okay, today I choose to look for reasons to feel good. Feeling good is my only job. And you can go on a little rampage of the things to feel good about literally before you even get out of your bed you can think of like wow, these, this pillow is so softer. I feel so warm in this bed. I'm so excited to wake up and make my matcha our coffee if you like coffee, the sunrises beautiful outside of the window. I just whatever you can find in your awareness to feel good about and give your attention to and then even before bed to kind of like prime you to kind of wake up feeling good as like, reflect on all the good things that happen today. Like just lay down. I did this last night. Like, what are all the good things that happened today. And I noticed a difference in how I felt when I wake up because I went to bed with that intention. So just create a little morning practice. If that's all it is, you wake up and you look for reasons to feel good. That's a great, that's more than enough. If you want to add a little bit more maybe you you know do that. And then you like journal while you're drinking matar coffee, or you go on a walk or you do tapping or hypnosis or meditation or whatever it is like whatever feels good for you, whatever you can commit to keep it pretty simple. Don't try to do all the things.

I just create a morning practice that feels good for you that feels like it's the whole, really the whole point is to feel good. So if it doesn't feel good, it feels like a chore, do something else. But the whole point is to feel good. And to really set the tone for your day, take that time for your self, fill up your energy, and then go out and live your day and just notice how the entire day is different when you do this. Okay, we have three more. Okay, number nine is to be present and except what is. So I kind of talked a lot about this in the first one. So I'm not going to go into this too much. But just really focus on like, How can I be so present to right now, the past and the future are not real. They only exist in our minds in our thoughts. And so all we have is now so how can you really be in the now and not worrying about what's next? Or what happens before? It's just like how can I be here now how can I accept what is now how can I make the best of this circumstance? How can I make this the best moment ever? How can I make this the most fun moment ever? So those are a lot of questions you can ask yourself to get present and to accept what's currently happening in your reality. And then in terms of kind of just Letting go of anything you need to let go of. And along the lines of accepting, you can ask yourself these three questions which are from this book called the Sedona Method. It's, it's really, it's really good. The, the processes are very powerful. The writing of the book is not like, it's not like a super, like, easy read, but the concepts are really, really powerful. So anyways, you can ask yourself, if there's something like really frustrating, you're feeling really negatively or whatever it is, you can ask yourself, can I let this go? Am I willing to let this go? When will I let this go? And it's usually like, Yes, I can let this go. Yes, I'm willing to let this go. And now I will let this go. Obviously, your answers are different. Just honor whatever comes up. For you. It's kind of just crazy how these three simple questions and just remembering that we I can let this go. I am willing to let this go. And when will I let this go? Oh, no. It's like, it's funny how like, just these questions remind us like, Oh, we have the power to do that. And we can do that. Okay, number 10. Is to visualize. So if there's a situation I are anxious about. Like maybe you're going to a dinner party, where you're going to see someone who you don't really want to see. So just before you go, close your eyes and imagine going out into the future. Right after the successful completion of the events of it's the dinner, you're worried about seeing someone go out into the just close your eyes, take yourself out into the future. And imagine it how you want it to be just a few minutes after you've maybe encountered this person. How do you want to feel? How do you want it to have gone? And imagine it having gone better than you think and just visualize? visualize how you want the experience to go and how you want to feel right after the successful completion of it. So hopefully that makes sense. Okay, last one, save the best for last. I'm just getting there all great. Okay, number 11 is to meditate. So most of you guys know so many of you have done and told me it was like life changing. But the there's a free meditation challenge on my website, magnetically you're calm slash free meditation. So if you want more meditations, there's five. Within that you can go grab those, but we're going to actually go ahead and do one. Right now. It should be fairly quick. I'm thinking like less than 10 minutes, just so you know how long this is going to take. Please obviously don't do this. If you're driving or anything like that. Just come back to this if you are, and yeah, make sure to save this episode as well. So you can come back to this meditation. Okay, so with that being said, let's go ahead and close your eyes. Lay down, sit down, whatever feels good for you. Just getting yourself into a comfortable position. And just starting with some big breaths, deep inhale through the nose. Exhale out your mouth.

Big inhale and exhale. Just Breathing in an intention that you want to set for today. What do you want to experience? How do you want to feel, just set the intention for how you'd like the day to go now. Just Breathing in that intention as you're continuing to take these big inhale is and big exhales as you breathe in. Just breathe and that intention. Breathe in that feeling you want to feel let that feeling. Fill up your body now. And as you exhale, just imagine letting go of anything that needs to go from your mind or energy right now. Just letting it go. There's nowhere else you need to be nothing else you need to do. You're exactly where you're meant to be. Just continuing to breathe feeling yourself become more and more relaxed with every exhale. Feeling yourself feeling lighter. grounded, more apiece and more relaxing you did just a few minutes ago. And I want you to take one more big inhale. And exhale. Just letting your breathing return to normal. And as you do, I want you to imagine that you're in a theater, a really big, beautiful theater and there's a stage in front of you, there's no one else in the audience is except you, and you're sitting right in the middle. And there's a big stage in front of you with big, bright lights. And at the back of the stage, you can see silhouettes of people, thousands and thousands of people, these are all the people you've ever come into contact with. And you can just see their silhouettes in the back of the stage, going as far back as your eye can see.

Now I want you to think of the person that you'd like to refresh your energy with. Just let that person come forward. Now coming to the front of the stage coming into the light. Don't think too hard about it, just notice the first person comes up and let them come up to the front of the stage. And you notice as they've come closer that there is a sparkly white cord connecting both of you from your foreheads. And you actually notice that there's a cord connecting you to everyone on this stage, just a small, white sparkly cord connecting your forehead to each and every one of these people that you've ever encountered. And so as this person comes up and comes into your awareness, they coming into the light, you begin to notice their features and their face, exactly as you remember it and you hear their voice exactly as it sounds. And you feel their presence now. And I want you to just notice the energy that you're feeling now. And when you're ready to refresh this energy with this person, I want you to first say, I forgive you, and I release you. And forgiving them doesn't mean you're condoning anything they may have done, it means you're freeing yourself. So just say say to them now, I forgive you, and I release you and hear them now saying it back to you. I forgive you and I release you. And as you do you just see their body filling up with this energy of forgiveness, freedom release, and you feel that energy filling up your body as well. And as you're feeling this energy as you're forgiving them, releasing them feeling yourself becoming more free, I want you to take a pair of scissors, a lightsaber, whatever it is that comes to you and reach up and cut that cord. Now as you cut that cord, they begin to just float away. Just notice them floating off the stage peacefully and easily, far far away to where you can't even see this person anymore. And you notice there's still a little bit of the cord coming out of your forehead. So you reach up and grab it and pull her pulling it out of your body like pulling roots out of the ground and this feels really good. Every time you pull more and more. You just feel more free, more relaxed and more at peace than you did before. So just pulling the cord taking it all the way out now and when you do just dropping it on the ground. I just noticing how you feel now wrapping yourself and this freedom and this lighter energy. And as you do, I want you to imagine a white gold pink whatever color feels good for you. Lights and bubble coming around. Find your body now. And as this bubble comes around your body, it brings with it even more relaxation, even more peace, even more of the feeling of calm and freedom. So I want you to imagine this light and bubble coming up over your ankles now over your calves, shins, over your thighs, the backs of your legs, your hips, your stomach, your lower back, your upper back, your chest, your heart, your arms, your shoulders, each and every one of your fingertips. Coming up now over your neck, over your head all the way up to the top of your head and just see her body now wrapped in this beautiful, beautiful light. See this bubble around you. And know that now that you have put yourself in this protective energy bubble, nothing but love can get in and nothing but love can get out.

Your energy is completely protected. And you can come back to this place of freedom and relaxation and protection at any time you want. And as you're noticing this beautiful bubble all around you feeling so protected, so relaxed. So a piece. I want you to Repeat this affirmation after me, we're gonna do it a few times. I am divinely guided, loved and protected. I am divinely guided loved and protected. Every time you say I just notice your energy bubble getting stronger, nothing can get into it now that you don't want to allow in. just noticing how powerful this bubble is how good it feels to be inside your own protective energy bubble. And just repeating after me one more time, I am divinely guided, loved and protected. Now just taking a deep breath in. Exhale, letting go of anything else you'd like to release from your bubble today. And then breathing in that intention you set one more time, how you want to feel what you want to experience bringing that into your bubble now. And then exhale. I don't know if anything else needs to go. One more time, biggest breath end of the day. Hold it at the top, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it. And exhale, had it all go.
