Have you ever felt like your entire mind is on fire trying to fix, plan, and solve everything at once?
That was me the other morning—frustrated, exhausted, and mentally swatting away what felt like a swarm of buzzing flies. It started with a night of broken sleep and quickly snowballed into a full-blown emotional spiral. I had things to do. Places to be. But I couldn’t shake the heaviness. So I did the only thing I knew would truly help: I chose to come back to center.
My mind was spiraling with to-dos and "what ifs," trying to mentally manage everything. But I realized: the more I tried to think my way out, the more stuck I felt.
So I walked. I opened up a blank space to vent, to let the loops air out. But eventually, I knew the next shift wasn’t more venting—it was feeling. Feeling the frustration. The sadness. The tightness in my throat. The heaviness in my chest.
It wasn’t fun. It wasn’t glamorous. But it was real. And it was what brought me back.
There was no grand plan. No big revelation. Just breath by breath, sensation by sensation. As I stayed with the discomfort instead of fleeing it, something started to shift. I didn’t need a week-long retreat or a perfect day—I just needed a few moments of true presence.
And then the lightness came.
Nothing outside me had changed. But everything inside me had. That’s the freedom of alignment.
From that grounded space, creative solutions started arriving. Opportunities opened. The thing I felt I had no space for—recording a podcast—ended up flowing with ease. Not because I forced it. But because I cleared space for it by tending to my energy first.
So if you’ve been spiraling, overwhelmed, or stuck in your head, let this be your reminder:
You don’t need to fix it all. You just need to feel your way home.
Trying to mentally solve life from a dysregulated state only creates more loops.
Presence isn’t punishment—it’s the path to peace.
Sometimes alignment begins with one breath, one honest check-in, one small yes.
Your energy is more valuable than a finished task.
Show yourself that you can come back. Let it be messy and brave.
Fleeing isn’t the answer. Thinking more isn't the answer. Grounding into the uncomfortable feeling is.
A weekly pause to breathe, reflect, and realign—because sometimes, all you need is a moment to slow down and come back to center.
